Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. As well as her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She's covered events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
